Eniola came to Canada in 2023.
A lawyer.
A newcomer.
A young mom.
A woman with a warm
heart and a brave story.
She knows what it feels
like to start again.
New country.
New rules.
New fears.
New hope.
At first, she shared
small posts online.
Simple insights.
Tiny lessons.
Honest truths.
Then she saw the comments.
The messages.
The people saying,
“This helped me.”
“This made me feel seen.”
That is when Eniola felt her
mission grow bigger.
Newcomers needed more.
More support.
More warmth.
More connection.
More community.
And so, she created New Roots
a safe place for newcomers by newcomers.
A place to learn.
To talk.
To connect.
To breathe again.
The moment that changed
everything came at a networking event.
Two newcomers told her quietly,
“That talk with you was the longest
conversation we’ve had in Canada.”
It broke her heart. It lit a fire.
Eniola grew up in Northern Nigeria.
Childhood was loving but full of conflict.
She saw fear.
She saw loss.
She saw injustice.
That is why she became a lawyer
to protect people who feel small and alone.
In Canada, she battled job struggles,
bad advice, loneliness, and rebuilding
her whole life from zero.
But now, she turns her story into strength.
New Roots offers events, workshops,
and newcomer spotlights that help
immigrants feel seen and feel at home.
The values are simple:
community, empathy, inclusion, belonging.
Eniola’s dream is clear:
Help newcomers grow
new roots and build a life
full of joy, support, and connection.
You can help by coming, sharing, and spreading the word.
New Roots is home for every newcomer ready to rise.
